Close to my apt. is is Audubon Park
I want to share a hilarious e-mail I received from the Phoenix School of Law ( apparently there's another one in addition to the online one)., these are the closing two paragraphs"Phoenix School of Law is located in the central corridor area of
Sure, Phoenix enjoys an average of 330 days of sunshine a year (perfect golfing weather), but our state also offers every climate zone the U.S. has to offer including snow covered mountains, green forests and grassy plains. We are also home to one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the
Over the weekend GER beat POR and will go on to play and beat Turkey and play and (hopefully) win the Final! And there was a HUGE upset as the Russians beat the Dutch. If you read me earlier I called it, the Russians are a little rookie (they have the youngest team) but they're going to be great in a few years. And now Russia plays Spain on Thursday, go RUSSIA! Spain won against Italy on penalty shots, god they're gay.
And now the Blue Jays have a new manager! With the reason being that Helen Keller could smack a beanball better than the shitbags we have batting, the old one, John Gibbons, got canned over the weekend. Not that it's going to help, the hitters are the ones not doing their jobs, but I'm actually glad since our new manager is the one we had from 1989 - 1997, the very same one we won both our World Series under in '92 and '93. I'll admit it's pretty cool seeing him, Cito Gaston, return from the ashes to the Blue Jays. Some are saying it's just a PR move, because this team's not expected to suddenly storm the world, but I don't really care if it is or isn't, at least the losses will be more entertaining. The Star wrote a sweet article on Gaston two days ago I just read, here's the link to it. Here's my favorite excerpt: "Gaston changed that culture when he took over in '89 and certainly not because he cracked whips and scared lazy and/or clueless players into hauling ass. Gaston was a player's manager who had simple rules about showing up on time and respecting the uniform, your teammates and so on. He made players want to play with a caring, one-on-one, laid back style. He cut slack where he felt it was needed and he made things simple for a lot of players; his personal what-to-look-for seminars with Kelly Gruber made Gruber an all-star and don't forget Devon White, a head-case before and after his time in Toronto, but a productive all-star in his time with the Jays. A lot of it was the light going on for the player, but Gaston hit the switch."
Kick ass. And now a moment of Zen
